Alternative Treatments Nutritionists The supplements would help with things like sleep, headaches, stomach aches, etc. (Supplements do not require a prescription and can be obtained at any health food store.) Depending on how multi-dimensional your nutritionist is, they might have skills outside their area. Mine knew about chinese medicine and the diagnosis of illness through just the appearance of the tongue! A doctor with well- rounded knowledge is always a plus. I was put on a pretty restricted diet, which made me feel a lot better, but which was hard to maintain long term. I would recommend seeing a nutitionist, especially if your diet is poor or if you are low in a lot of vitamins. They can certainly help you out with this. Physical
Thearpy My PT sees a handful of NMH and CFS patients. He has helped ease a lot of their symptoms during his sessions with them, including me. I can tell the difference when I don't see my PT once a week. I start getting a lot more muscle pain and my fatigue and nausea increases. He definetly helps keep my symptoms managable. Your doctor might be able to refer you to a PT with experience of your conditions. Preferably, try to see a PT who has expeirince with other teens with your conditions and illnesses. Manual thearpy works best for teens with our conditions. Many times, exercises and working out on the machines is too strenuous for us. I have never used the work-out equiptment, so it's important to ask about this. Alternative
