Jeni's Tips

On College:
How do you manage school while being sick?

"Very carefully. It's imperative that you clue every single progessor in on what's going on. I also recommend that you get in touch with your disability coordinator. Mine saved my ass last year when I missed a lot of classes. She was able to make my absences 'excused' so I didn't get point off for being absent. I would be willing to bet that if you went 'public' at your school, you would find a heck of a lot of students with invisible, chronic diseases. It's rampant. You could probably very easily set up a support group on campus."

On Lyme Disease:
"If you look at google.com you'll find a ton of resources about diseases that are misdiagnosed as MS, ALS, etc, when they were really Lyme all along."

A good website about Lyme is: http://www.geocitits.com/HotSprings/Oasis/6455/lyme-links.html
