Lyme Disease

Lyme Disease is a tick-borne illness. Field mice, deer, and other animals can have Lyme disease, and when deer ticks bite them, the tick is now a carrier. That tick can then go on to bite a human, giving Lyme to them. In some cases, a bulls-eye rash will appear, however, the absence of this rash does not mean that you don't have Lyme. I never had the rash, and I don't even remember being bitten by a tick. The deer tick however is about the size of this dot:

Obviously, it can be easily missed. Lyme causes a range of symptoms, usually beginning with something that feels like the flu. Fatigue, weakness, facial paralysis, headaches, and a million other symptoms are also caused my Lyme. If undiagnosed long enough, Lyme can cause neurological problems, because the bug likes to hide in organs and in the brain.

If you have had any symptom for a long time that doctors have not been able to diagnose, you should consider seeing a Lyme doctor.
